Spring Tax Intern

About the Role

Platform Accounting Group is seeking a Spring Tax Intern with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the accounting industry. This paid internship provides a general introduction to tax "busy season" and runs from January to April 16, 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve technical tax issues.
• Research and support various tax projects.
• Carry out other projects as assigned.
• Support professional tax preparers.
• Assist with general office duties through tax season.
• Prepare federal and state tax filings.
• Gain exposure to complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities, including C-corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, individual income, gift tax, and estate tax returns.
• Understand the tax return process with a high degree of accuracy.
• Research and consult on various tax matters.
• Utilize tax-related software to research tax matters.
• Support the office in maintaining and enhancing client relationships.
• Demonstrate knowledge of each client's business and finances.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• High level proficiency with office technology and software.
• Strong technical skills in accounting and tax.
