Social Media Marketing Intern

About the Role

Counsel Union is seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Intern to strengthen its online visibility through engaging videos, AI-powered creatives, and compelling social media content.

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Social Media Intern who understands social media trends, short-form video content, and digital storytelling. The ideal candidate should be comfortable appearing on camera or creating face-led video content, using AI tools to develop creatives, and writing engaging copy for different social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, record, and edit engaging reels, short-form videos, and other social media content, including face-led videos.
• Use AI tools to create visually appealing graphics, images, videos, and other digital content.
• Write compelling captions, hooks, post descriptions, creative copy, and calls to action.
• Create, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with the company's brand, objectives, and communication strategy.
• Identify relevant social media trends, formats, and content ideas to improve audience engagement and reach.
• Monitor content performance, reach, engagement, and other relevant metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure all published content follows the company's brand voice, messaging, and visual identity.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Min. 6 months hands-on experience in social media management and content creation.
• Ability and willingness to create face-led video content, including appearing on camera when required.
• Experience using AI tools to generate social media creatives and content.
• Strong copywriting skills, including writing engaging captions, hooks, and social media posts.
• Basic to good video recording and editing skills, with knowledge of tools such as Canva, CapCut, VN, Premiere Pro, or similar applications.
• Understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms, including their content formats and engagement strategies.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• A portfolio of social media posts, videos, or AI-generated creatives will be an advantage.

Qualifications

• Someone who can take an idea from concept to publication — researching the topic, creating the content, writing the copy, publishing it, and reviewing its performance.
• Value practical execution, creativity, and the ability to use AI tools effectively to produce quality content.

Compensation & Growth Opportunity

• Stipend: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month, depending on interview performance.
• PPO Opportunity: A Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) may be offered based on the intern's performance. The PPO is not guaranteed and will solely depend on overall performance and contribution.
