About the Role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking S/W Embedded Engineers for entry-level opportunities at their Sykesville, MD location. This role offers the chance to boost knowledge through experience and exposure while supporting a mission to protect the nation and its allies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop digital logic for advanced mission solutions.
• Gain hands-on exposure to the programmable logic full life cycle: design, simulation, implementation, verification, and system integration.
• Implement and debug designs in simulations and on real hardware.
• Collaborate directly with experienced engineers to solve design challenges, get feedback, and learn best practices.
• Engage in a full life-cycle approach for digital electronic equipment and other hardware systems: design, implementation, test verification, production.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Location: Sykesville, MD
• Travel: Yes, 10% of the time
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Qualifications

Associate S/W Embedded Engineer

• Completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related STEM field.

S/W Embedded Engineer

• Completing or has completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related STEM field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
• A current/active US Government Secret clearance.
