Graphic Designer

About the Role

Global Academy of Technology (GAT), Bengaluru, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join its team. This is a full-time, work-from-office position. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating engaging visual content to support institutional branding, marketing, communication, events, and student engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design digital and print materials, including brochures, posters, banners, social media creatives, presentations, certificates, standees, and event collaterals.
• Develop creative concepts and visual designs in line with the institution’s brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with academic, administrative, marketing, and media teams to understand design requirements.
• Prepare high-quality, production-ready artwork for both digital and print applications.
• Manage multiple design requests and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Maintain consistency in typography, layouts, imagery, and overall visual identity across communication materials.
• Contribute to creative campaigns, promotional activities, events, and institutional communications.
• Support website and other digital-content requirements with appropriate visual assets.
• Organize and maintain the institution’s design assets and creative files.
• Make revisions based on feedback while ensuring accuracy and design quality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong understanding of graphic design principles, including layout, composition, colour, hierarchy, and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, or equivalent design tools.
• Knowledge of typography and the ability to select appropriate fonts.
• Understanding of branding and visual identity, including logo usage and brand consistency.
• Good understanding of digital and print design requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a good sense of aesthetics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work within deadlines.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in designing for educational institutions, corporate organizations, or similar environments will be an added advantage.
• Candidates should have a strong portfolio demonstrating their design skills and creativity.
