About the Role

Sharkfinn Animation Studios provides professional Animation and VFX services, focusing on high-quality visual storytelling by combining artistic creativity with technical expertise. This full-time, on-site 3D Animator position in Pune City will involve creating high-quality 3D animations for film, advertising, and digital media.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D animations, including character and environment animation.
• Develop animation concepts.
• Work with rigged models.
• Apply motion capture data.
• Refine movement and performance to align with project requirements.
• Collaborate with directors, modelers, rigging artists, and VFX teams to ensure visual continuity and storytelling impact.
• Optimize animations for production pipelines.
• Review feedback and contribute creative ideas.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Blender and related 3D tools
• Modeling, keyframing, and rendering capabilities

Qualifications

• Strong skills in 3D Animation and general Animation, creating expressive, believable motion for characters and objects.
• Skills in Rigging and Motion Capture, working with rigged assets and integrating motion capture data.
• Strong visual storytelling abilities.
• Understanding of timing and weight.
• Solid grasp of animation principles.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to take direction, respond to feedback, and work within production timelines.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Animation, VFX, or a related field, plus a portfolio or showreel demonstrating 3D animation work, will be highly beneficial.
