About the Role

The Head Shape Clinic is a bespoke clinic specializing in the treatment of cranial deformities in children, offering expert Helmet Therapy services. The clinic is known for advanced craniosynostosis surgery and works closely with multidisciplinary specialists to deliver high-quality care in an environment focused on precision, safety, and family-centered support. This is a full-time, on-site Orthotist role based in Bengaluru, with outreach to Mumbai, Hyderabad & Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess infants and children with cranial deformities.
• Perform detailed measurements and evaluations.
• Recommend appropriate helmet therapy and other orthotic interventions.
• Take accurate cranial scans or impressions.
• Design and fit custom cranial helmets.
• Adjust devices for comfort and effectiveness.
• Monitor treatment progress through follow-up appointments.
• Collaborate with surgeons, pediatricians, and other clinicians.
• Educate families on care and usage of orthotic devices.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards within the clinic.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience working with children and families.
• Ability to work accurately with measurement tools, scanning technologies, and clinical software.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Orthotics, with hands-on experience in assessment, design, fitting, and adjustment of pediatric cranial orthoses.
• Foundational knowledge in Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery to collaborate effectively with surgical and medical teams on cranial deformity and craniosynostosis cases.
• Skills in Gait Analysis and Prosthetics beneficial for broader pediatric musculoskeletal management and interdisciplinary care.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Orthotics/Prosthetics or related allied health field; professional certification or registration as an Orthotist is preferred.
• Strong communication, counseling, and empathy in a clinical setting.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and adherence to clinical safety, infection control, and ethical standards.
