Salesperson

About the Role

Phulwari Paints Supply is seeking a full-time, on-site Salesperson based in the Greater Hyderabad Area. This role focuses on serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with walk-in and existing customers.
• Understand customer painting requirements and recommend appropriate products, shades, and quantities.
• Explain product features.
• Prepare quotations.
• Process orders.
• Manage billing.
• Coordinate with inventory staff to ensure product availability.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales area.
• Follow up on leads and repeat orders.
• Support basic merchandising and display activities.
• Resolve customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate sales records.
• Contribute to achieving daily and monthly sales targets.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic familiarity with point-of-sale systems or billing software.
• Willingness to learn new tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage professionally and build long-term relationships.
• Basic sales and negotiation skills, including comfort with upselling, cross-selling, and closing transactions.
• Ability to understand and explain paint products, finishes, color options, and application recommendations.
• Solid numeracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in English and local languages commonly used in the Greater Hyderabad Area.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move stock safely, and work in a busy retail or warehouse environment.
• Minimum high school/secondary education.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and respectful workplace conduct.
• Prior paint or hardware experience is an advantage.
• Prior experience in retail, paints, building materials, or related sales is preferred but not mandatory.
• Further relevant training or certifications in sales or retail management are a plus.
