About the Role
Supplemental Health Care is hiring Paraprofessionals to support students with special needs in partnering school districts. The role focuses on creating a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students one-on-one or in small groups with classwork, communication, and daily routines.
- Helping implement behavior plans and IEP goals with care and consistency.
- Assisting students with special needs who may require help with mobility, personal care, or emotional regulation.
- Creating a positive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Teaming up with teachers, therapists, and staff.
- Willingness to assist with physical or behavioral needs as required.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children.
- Prior experience working with children with special needs, physical/mental disabilities, or behavior management.
- School Hours: Monday – Friday.
- Pay: $18 - $20 per hour.
Education
Must have one of the following:
- A minimum of 60 hours of college credits.
- Associate's degree or higher.
- Passing score on Missouri ParaPro or Paraprofessional Assessment.
- Completion of Missouri's online Substitute training program.
