What We Actually Mean by the Things Every JD Says
- Being a generalist: Take on work across functions, even when the task is small or unfamiliar. Learn what you need and ask for help without ego. Connect ideas across domains to solve problems and use AI well.
- High agency: Bring up ideas, concerns, and better ways of working without waiting to be asked. Back your suggestions with context and clear thinking.
- Ownership: Take responsibility for the process, the outcome, and the follow-through. When something goes wrong, identify what broke, fix it, and learn from it.
- Comfort with ambiguity: Make progress even when you don’t have the full picture. Gather context, test quickly, and adjust as you learn. Stay organized when priorities shift or several things need attention.
The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here
- Curious about AI. You want to understand and use it better. Familiarity with AI coding tools or a willingness to learn them is a plus.
- Thinks in systems. You look for ways to make work repeatable through better workflows, documentation, and automation.
- Comfortable with tech. You don’t need to be a developer, but you should be willing to learn tools and troubleshoot problems.
- Organized and reliable. You keep trackers useful, follow up without being chased, and spot deadlines at risk.
- Communicates clearly. You write useful reports, explain how things work, and flag blockers early.
- Always learning. You learn from teammates, clients, mistakes, and unfamiliar subjects.
- Willing to stretch. You take on unfamiliar work and ask for help when needed.
- Has no ego. You do what’s needed, big or small.
