About the Role
DriveTime Family of Brands is seeking a skilled Data Science Intern for their Summer 2027 internship program. This role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies supporting various business verticals including Marketing, Lending, Indirect Lending, and Warranties.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making processes.
- Assist in developing and implementing data models, algorithms, and predictive models.
- Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to extract knowledge and patterns from data.
- Assist with developing innovative ways to increase data intelligence within the business.
- Present results of analysis to leaders and colleagues.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Experience with other statistical or analytical coding tools.
- Strong understanding of the full Data Science Life Cycle.
- Working knowledge in SQL, Tableau, and Excel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's student with a graduation date between December 2027 – May 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Able to read and write in Python.
- Intellectual curiosity and a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to be agile in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Internship Program Details:
- Duration: 11 weeks, May 2027 – August 2027.
- Location: Home offices in Tempe, AZ and Dallas, TX.
- Schedule: Regular on-site schedule, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Relocation: Not provided for internships.
