About the Role
Flatscanner is seeking a result-driven Social Media Associate to grow numbers, specifically Facebook Group members, Instagram engagement, and real users on flatscanner.ai. This is not a posting-only role; success is measured by growth. You will work directly with the founder in an early-stage, small team environment.
Key Responsibilities

Community Growth

Own and grow the Facebook Group from 0, focusing on members, engagement, and daily active discussion.

Maintain community activity with engaging posts, polls, and discussions; approve members and remove spam.

Run and grow WhatsApp and Telegram communities.

Drive room postings by reaching out to individuals with rooms to let in Bangalore and assisting them with posting on Flatscanner.

Build partnerships with co-living operators, small landlords, group admins, and "new to Bangalore" communities.

Content and Creative

Generate daily reel ideas (e.g., broker lies, deposit stories, PG life, Bangalore rent reality).

Plan and deliver the content calendar independently.

Manage Instagram and WhatsApp Channel content, including new room listings, stories with links, and 2-3 reels per week (e.g., "Is this rent fair?", "What ₹20k gets you in HSR vs Bellandur").

Identify and brief 3-4 Bangalore creators and meme pages for collaborations.

Draft LinkedIn posts.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proven experience building a Facebook Group, page, or community from scratch, or a strong interest in learning.
- In-depth understanding of Instagram and Facebook, including reach mechanisms, Insights, and engagement drivers (comments, shares, saves).
- Awareness of Instagram trends, trending audio, and meme formats.
- Proficiency in editing reels using CapCut, InShot, or Instagram Edits, including subtitles and trending formats.
- Comfortable appearing on camera for reels.
- Comfortable with proactive outreach through messaging, calling, and meeting new people.

- Demonstrated ability to grow communities and drive user acquisition.
