About the Role
Verkada is seeking a Mobile Software Engineering Intern to join our team for an exciting and challenging internship. You will collaborate cross-functionally to enable a native mobile experience in both our existing and new iOS and Android applications, enhancing our best-in-class security systems.
What You'll Do
- Support the entire mobile application lifecycle (concept, design, test, and release) in a fast-paced environment for both existing and new mobile applications.
- Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to grow, design, and implement new features.
- Develop in Swift or Kotlin in conjunction with backend work.
- Work in iterative sprints to design, develop, and test solutions.
- Build automation and tests to streamline development.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to work at Verkada HQ during winter or summer 2027.
- Actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or similar degree plan) with a graduate date in early to mid 2028.
- Proficient understanding of Swift and iOS SDK OR Kotlin and Android SDK, and a willingness to learn about both.
- Experience writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code.
- Experience working with backend server APIs.
- Solid UI development and unit testing skills.
- Thorough understanding of fundamental Computer Science concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well alongside engineers of all levels.

Estimated Hourly Pay Range
$55—$65 USD
