Strategy & Fundraising Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and analytical MBA Finance intern to support strategic planning, business growth, fundraising, and investor engagement initiatives. The intern will work closely with the leadership team on business strategy, financial analysis, fundraising preparation, investor research, and business development. This role offers practical exposure to how companies develop growth strategies, evaluate business opportunities, build financial models, and raise capital.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Strategy & Market Research

• Conduct industry, market, and competitor research to identify business opportunities.

• Analyze market trends, business models, competitive positioning, and growth strategies.

• Support the development of business plans, go-to-market strategies, and growth initiatives.

• Identify potential strategic partnerships and business expansion opportunities.

• Prepare management presentations, business reports, and strategic recommendations.

• Financial Analysis & Business Modelling

• Assist in developing financial models, revenue projections, and business forecasts.

• Conduct profitability, cost structure, and financial performance analysis.

• Prepare financial scenarios, cash flow projections, and business valuation analyses.

• Analyze unit economics, customer acquisition costs, revenue models, and growth metrics.

• Support the preparation of financial dashboards and management reports.

• Fundraising & Investor Relations

• Research potential investors, venture capital funds, private equity firms, angel investors, and family offices.

• Develop and maintain a database of potential investors and funding opportunities.

• Assist in preparing investor pitch decks, information memorandums, and fundraising presentations.

• Support the development of fundraising strategies and investment proposals.

• Track investor outreach, meetings, follow-ups, and fundraising pipeline.

• Assist in preparing responses to investor queries and due diligence requirements.

• Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

• Identify potential clients, partners, and business opportunities.

• Conduct research on prospective companies and decision-makers.

• Support partnership proposals, commercial discussions, and business development presentations.

• Evaluate new business opportunities from a financial and strategic perspective.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Currently pursuing an MBA in Finance.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial statements, and business fundamentals.
• Good financial modelling and Excel skills.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and preparation of business presentations.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in start-ups, venture capital, private equity, fundraising, and business strategy.
• Familiarity with AI tools and financial research platforms will be an advantage.
