About Cox & Kings
Cox & Kings is a well-recognized name in travel, creating international leisure holidays. Our digital presence, including our website, landing pages, and booking journeys, is the first experience many customers have with us. We aim for this experience to be as positive as the holiday itself.
Role Overview
We are seeking an early-career UI/UX Designer to shape how customers discover and book holidays. You will be responsible for designing our website, landing pages, booking journeys, and internal tools for our sales teams. This role offers significant ownership from day one and is ideal for individuals with internship experience or up to one year of full-time experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end customer journeys: Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for our website, holiday package pages, landing pages, and enquiry/booking flows. Ensure all screens are optimized for mobile and desktop and align with the Cox & Kings brand.
- Drive conversion with marketing: Design campaign landing pages, banners, and digital creatives in collaboration with the marketing team. Utilize heatmaps, user feedback, and A/B test results to enhance enquiry and booking conversion rates.
- Research and refine: Conduct competitor reviews, usability checks, and user feedback sessions. Translate findings into clear, actionable design improvements.
- Partner with tech for flawless delivery: Provide well-documented designs to developers and review builds for design accuracy prior to launch. Assist in building and maintaining our design system (colours, typography, components, and icons).
- Design for internal teams: Develop simple and efficient interfaces for the tools and dashboards used by our sales, pre-sales, and operations teams.
Qualifications
- Education: A degree or diploma in Design (UI/UX, Interaction, Visual or Graphic), HCI, or a related field. A recognized UI/UX certification with a strong portfolio is also accepted.
- Experience: 0-1 year of experience, including UI/UX design internships or up to one year of full-time employment.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing 3-4 projects (live, internship, academic, or personal) that illustrate your process from problem identification and research to final design.
- Tools: Strong command of Figma. Working knowledge of Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Illustrator is a plus.
- Design Fundamentals: Solid understanding of UX principles, information architecture, user flows, and responsive, mobile-first design. A keen eye for layout, typography, colour, and visual hierarchy.
- Communication and Curiosity: Ability to clearly explain and defend design decisions, incorporate feedback effectively, and stay updated on the latest UI/UX trends, particularly within the travel and e-commerce sectors.
