About the Role
The Programmer Trainee role is designed for individuals who are eager to start a career in programming and software development. As a trainee, you will be exposed to a wide range of technologies and will get hands-on experience in coding, testing, debugging, and developing software solutions for the host mainframe system, Salesforce platform, and other approved business applications. You will also develop practical experience using approved artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support software development, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code under the guidance of mentors.
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices in coding.
- Learn and work with various programming languages such as Free Format RPG, RPG/LE, CLLE, or C#.
- Collaborate with the development team to design, test, and improve software applications.
- Learn and assist with configuration, development, testing, and support of solutions on the Salesforce platform, including declarative tools such as Flow and, as appropriate, Apex, SOQL, integrations, and related development tools.
- Use Company-approved AI tools, when appropriate, to assist with coding, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, research, and productivity while following information security, data privacy, compliance, and acceptable-use requirements.
- Review, test, and validate AI-generated output before use; do not rely on AI-generated code, analysis, or recommendations without appropriate human review and adherence to established development and change-management standards.
- Stay updated with emerging programming technologies and trends.
- Complete training, as assigned, within the expected timeframes.
