Job Summary
The PIM Platform Software Engineer configures and builds on the Akeneo platform while supporting Informatica P360 during the migration window. This role involves implementing workflows, enrichment rules, attributes, taxonomy, and Akeneo extensions, as well as building and troubleshooting API integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support Akeneo, including workflow implementation, attribute modeling, and taxonomy setup.
- Maintain and support Informatica P360 in parallel during the transition period.
- Build and maintain Akeneo extensions and custom capabilities using the Akeneo Extension SDK.
- Build and troubleshoot REST API integrations between Akeneo, upstream, and downstream systems.
- Support P360-to-Akeneo migration engineering: data mapping, validation, and cutover support.
- Resolve data defects and product data quality issues surfaced during enrichment or migration.
- Establish and follow reusable PIM engineering patterns.
- Participate in code/design review and follow CI/CD practices for releases.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Akeneo (or a comparable PIM platform) configuration and implementation experience, or strong aptitude to ramp quickly.
- Working knowledge of Informatica P360 or similar MDM/PIM platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
- Familiarity with npm and building SDK-based extensions.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML data structures, and integration patterns.
- SQL proficiency for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking (Jira/Azure DevOps).
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across platform, data, and integration issues.
- Hands-on technical background in Akeneo.
- Strong architecture and solution-design review experience, including API and integration design.
- Experience leading platform migrations (system-to-system data and workflow migration).
- Comfortable owning delivery execution: backlog management, sprint planning, release readiness.
- Strong communicator who can align architecture, business, and delivery teams.
