About the Role
We are seeking a Board-Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our growing Neurosurgery team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. This is an inpatient-only position providing comprehensive care to neurosurgical patients. New graduates with strong inpatient clinical training are encouraged to apply.
Position Highlights
- Inpatient-only Neurosurgery practice
- 7-on/7-off schedule
- No call responsibilities
- Collaborative team of two Advanced Practice Providers supporting inpatient neurosurgical care
- Opportunity to work closely with experienced neurosurgeons and the trauma team
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inpatient rounding and management of neurosurgical patients
- Conduct consultations, admissions, and daily patient assessments
- Provide follow-up care for established and postoperative patients
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement treatment plans
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning
- No operative time or first assist experience required
