Junior Civil Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Junior Civil Engineer role based in Chennai. The Junior Civil Engineer will support project execution from design through completion, assisting with site inspections, preparing drawings and reports, and coordinating with senior engineers, contractors, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to civil engineering design for industrial, warehousing, and infrastructure projects.
• Support planning and scheduling activities.
• Monitor construction progress.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Review technical documents.
• Assist in quantity estimation and material planning.
• Help implement sustainable and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Provide documentation support.
• Maintain project records.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of projects.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Skills in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design.
• Skills in Planning to support project scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of site activities.
• Skills in Stormwater Management to contribute to drainage design, site grading, and sustainable water systems.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, basic structural analysis tools).
• Exposure to BIM is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Qualifications

• Trained Civil Engineers with a solid understanding of construction practices, building codes, and safety standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with site staff and project stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on-site at project locations in and around Chennai and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
