About the Role
Howmet Engine Systems is seeking a College Intern to join our team in Hampton, Virginia, for a 12-week internship program.
Job Summary
As a Finance Intern at Howmet Aerospace, you will gain practical experience in the field of finance, contribute to real-world projects, and develop essential skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing financial data, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Utilize Excel to perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to financial transactions.
- Collaborate with the team to evaluate and optimize savings plans.
- Assist in generating financial reports and presentations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned by the Controller.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to a fast-paced finance environment.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- This position entails access to export-controlled items.
