Business Strategy Intern Industrial Services

About the Role

Clean Harbors is seeking a Business Strategy Intern to join its Summer 2027 Internship Program. This full-time, onsite internship offers hands-on experience in business strategy, strategic planning, and growth initiatives within the Industrial Services industry. The intern will support the HPC Industrial's National Product Leadership (NPL) team in developing and executing strategic initiatives to accelerate growth. This role provides exposure to business operations, market opportunities, and strategic decision-making, collaborating with experienced industry leaders. The internship is based in Deer Park, TX or Norwell, MA, and will require time in the field at customer and project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
• Support the National Product Leadership (NPL) team with the development and execution of strategic initiatives focused on business growth.
• Assist with research and analysis of market trends, industry opportunities, and business performance.
• Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities to improve processes, services, and operational efficiency.
• Support the coordination and tracking of strategic projects, initiatives, and business priorities.
• Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and materials that support business planning and decision-making.
• Gain exposure to HPC Industrial's specialty service offerings and how strategic initiatives contribute to business growth.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to understand business operations, customer needs, and organizational goals.
• Participate in Clean Harbors Internship Program networking and professional development activities.
• Complete and present a final internship project at the conclusion of the program.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Currently pursuing a degree or recent graduate in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Strong interest in business strategy, operations, and organizational growth.
• Eagerness to learn and gain exposure to industrial services and business operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with team members and build positive professional relationships.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to take on new challenges.
• Ability to work onsite in Deer Park, TX or Norwell, MA for the duration of the internship.
