About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Field Sales Executive role based in Guwahati. The role involves identifying and onboarding new merchants, promoting Paytm’s payment solutions, and supporting merchants in using Paytm products effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard new merchants.
• Promote Paytm’s payment solutions.
• Support merchants in using Paytm products effectively.
• Regular field visits.
• Demonstrate product features.
• Resolve basic service issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Collect market feedback and share insights with internal teams.
• Work towards achieving assigned sales and activation targets.
• Collaborate with local operations and support teams.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong sales, negotiation, and persuasion abilities, with a focus on meeting and exceeding field targets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with merchants and business stakeholders.
• Basic understanding of digital payments, mobile apps, and technology-enabled financial services.
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and handle multiple merchant visits daily.
• Prior experience in field sales, retail sales, or merchant acquisition is preferred.
• Comfort with using smartphones, CRM tools, and productivity applications for reporting and follow-ups.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territories.
• Proficiency in local languages (Guwahati), along with English and/or Hindi.

Qualifications

• Graduation.
• Experience: 6 - 12 months (Freshers can apply).
• Minimum educational qualification: High school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the local market in Guwahati.
