About the EmERge Program

The EmERge Program offers immersive emergency veterinarian training, equipping you to administer life-saving care for pets in crisis. This comprehensive one-year program provides hands-on training, lectures, mentoring, and real-world experience. The program welcomes recent graduates and seasoned veterinary professionals seeking a new challenge.

Program Structure

The EmERge program is divided into three parts, totaling one year of accelerated learning:

• 14 weeks of accelerated boot camp and initial training:
• First two weeks: Virtual asynchronous learning.
• Following two weeks: Immersive, in-person boot camp with the EmERge cohort, including hands-on labs, ER case scenarios, and critical practical skills.
• Remaining 10 weeks: Rotation through emergency and critical care, and other specialties at your primary hospital.
• 20 weeks of hands-on, immersive training: Guided by an experienced clinician mentor.
• 18 weeks of experiential training: With continued mentoring.

A one-year work commitment after training is required, totaling two years.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Graduate of an accredited veterinary school.
• Passed (or pending) the NAVLE.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of interest.

Note: The EmERge program does not substitute for an internship required for residency applications.

Compensation During The Program

• Weeks 1-14: $4615.38 bi-weekly ($120,000 annually).
• Weeks 15-34: $4615.38 bi-weekly ($120,000 annually).
• Weeks 35-52: Market Rate (starts when ready for experiential training by week 37).
