About the Role

DESRI seeks talented, intellectually curious, and highly motivated students for its Summer 2027 internship program. This is a 10-week program running from June through August. The People Internship supports DESRI’s Recruiting and Human Capital teams, offering an opportunity to contribute to the people, processes, and infrastructure that enable DESRI’s effective operation and growth. Interns will work on meaningful projects related to recruiting, employee programs, organizational operations, process improvement, and firmwide initiatives. Mentors and project managers will support professional development. Interns will also have opportunities to collaborate across DESRI, participate in learning and intern events, visit an operating renewable energy asset, and present their work at the end of the summer.

What You'll Do

Depending on project needs and interests, you may contribute to projects across the following teams:

  • Recruiting: Support initiatives across the recruiting lifecycle, including candidate research and sourcing, recruiting analytics, interview and program coordination, employer branding, and projects to improve DESRI’s ability to identify and attract exceptional talent.
  • Human Capital: Contribute to projects involving employee programs, learning and development, performance and talent management, organizational planning, people analytics, and other initiatives supporting the employee experience and DESRI’s broader organizational goals.

Across these assignments, you will see how people and operational decisions support a growing renewable energy investment, development, and operating platform.

Qualifications

  • Analytical, accomplished students with a demonstrated interest in business operations, recruiting, human capital, organizational strategy, or related fields.
  • Intellectually curious individuals with strong written and verbal communication abilities, analytical acumen, sound judgment, and an interest in solving organizational problems.
  • A record of academic and/or professional achievement is required.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively, exercise discretion, manage multiple priorities, and approach both quantitative and qualitative problems thoughtfully is vital.
  • Comfort working with data and developing clear, actionable conclusions from analyses.
  • A high level of initiative, attention to detail, and interest in learning how a growing organization operates are strongly preferred.
  • Preference will be given to undergraduate or graduate students who are in their final year of full-time study following the internship.

Undergraduate interns will be paid $6,000 per month with a $5,000 housing stipend. Graduate interns will be paid $10,000 per month with a $5,000 housing stipend.
