Auto CAD, Draughtsmen

About the Role

Purplle.com is seeking a skilled Draughtsman to join their Offline Retail – Projects Team in Mumbai. This role supports the preparation of technical drawings for new store openings, retail fit-outs, and store renovations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of AutoCAD, retail layouts, interior drawings, and fit-out execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D drawings and layouts using AutoCAD for new retail stores, fit-outs, and renovations.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, furniture layouts, and detailed working drawings.
• Coordinate with the Projects, Design, and Execution teams to ensure drawings meet site requirements.
• Update drawings based on site measurements, design changes, and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawings for civil, electrical, ceiling, flooring, and furniture/fixture requirements.
• Support the team with BOQ preparation, measurements, and quantity calculations.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and site teams to resolve drawing-related queries.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and shared within project timelines.
• Assist with site visits to verify measurements and ensure execution is as per approved drawings.
• Maintain and update drawings for ongoing projects and store renovations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and 2D drafting.
• Knowledge of floor plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings.
• Basic understanding of construction materials, furniture, fixtures, and fit-out execution.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience in retail fit-outs, interior projects, commercial spaces, or store construction.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working on retail stores, showrooms, malls, or commercial interior projects.
• Knowledge of site measurements, BOQs, and store execution.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and project teams.
