About the Role
Gateway Engineers is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer. This position is full-time and in-person. No prior work experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn tasks in other practice areas within the company.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Perform water resources engineering and stormwater management design.
- Conduct site layout and regulatory analysis including zoning and ordinance review.
- Develop grading design and earthwork analysis.
- Assist with construction administration, site visits, and construction observation.
- Apply sustainable design practices and low impact development (LID) strategies.
- Produce technical writing including reports, letters, and permit applications.
- Design utility and infrastructure including water, sanitary, and storm systems.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn the responsibilities listed above.
- Civil 3D for design, grading, and plan production.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and/or related field.
- Engineer-In-Training and/or a desire to obtain certification.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and grow.
