About the Role
The Tour Guide role is a full-time, on-site position based in Assam, India. The guide will lead guests on organized tours and safaris, provide clear and engaging commentary, and share information about local history, culture, and wildlife.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests
- Lead guests on organized tours and safaris
- Provide clear and engaging commentary
- Share information about local history, culture, and wildlife
- Manage tour logistics
- Coordinate with drivers and support staff
- Ensure that itineraries are followed safely and on time
- Answer guest questions
- Provide recommendations
- Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere
- Respond promptly to any issues during tours
- Promote company services
- Collect guest feedback
- Support basic sales and booking activities when required
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Guided Tours skills: route planning, group handling, and safety awareness
- Communication skills: ability to explain information clearly and interact with diverse guests
- Customer Service skills: hospitality, problem-solving, and guest satisfaction
- Basic knowledge of local History and culture
- Sales skills: promote tour packages, upsell services, and support booking inquiries
- Fluency in English and local languages, such as Assamese or Hindi, is highly beneficial
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina for outdoor activities
- A genuine interest in travel and nature
Qualifications
- Prior experience in tourism, hospitality, or guiding roles is preferred but not mandatory.
