About the Role

This role is within Goldman Sachs' Global Banking & Markets – Electronic Trading Platforms team in Bengaluru. You will be working on building and enhancing platforms focused on electronic trading, market making, and execution. You will collaborate with other engineers and sales and trading teams to improve execution, price-making, and risk management. This will involve a strong focus on performance, guided by a robust measurement framework and experimentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, low-latency trading platforms that can adapt to a fast-paced business environment.
• Analyze trading system performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Generate ideas for system enhancements to drive commercial performance.
• Implement, test, and deploy these ideas.
• Improve the safety and reliability of trading systems.
• Balance short-term business needs with strategic enhancements.
• Understand global market structure, regulations, and exchange requirements.
