About BookMyOpponent
BookMyOpponent is a Mumbai-based start-up building free software for grassroots cricket in India. Our products include Cricscore, a free scoring and tournament platform with live scoring, player stats, tournaments, auctions and shareable scorecards. We want to show how real cricketers at real cricketing venues use our products.
About the Role
You will be the face behind the camera for BookMyOpponent and Cricscore. On some weekends, you will shoot cricket games at venues across Mumbai. On weekdays, you will edit that footage into reels and posts and keep our social media active.
Key Responsibilities
- Shoot 1-2 cricket games on some weekends (4-6 hours in total), capturing gameplay, scoring moments, player reactions and Cricscore in use.
- Cover tournaments and auction events and turn auction footage into videos.
- Edit raw footage into short-form videos for all platforms.
- Create 2-5 reels and 3-7 posts a week and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
- Deliver final videos in the right formats for Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp and other platforms.
- Suggest content ideas, trends and hooks that work for cricket audiences.
- Follow the shot lists and content briefs shared by our team.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Student or fresher with good video editing skills.
- Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve or a similar tool (CapCut, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Own smartphone (iPhone preferred) or good-quality camera, a tripod and a laptop with editing software.
- An eye for pacing, music, captions and storytelling for social media.
- Love for cricket; playing or watching it is a plus.
- Able to work on weekends (with compensatory leave on weekdays) and to travel to cricketing venues across Mumbai.
- Reliable, deadline-driven and able to work independently.
Internship Details
- Duration: 3-6 months, starting immediately.
- Work pattern: Work from home on weekdays (minimum 4 hours a day); on-ground at cricketing venues on weekends.
- Stipend: ₹8,000-10,000 per month.
- Travel allowance: Where applicable.
- Content ownership: All footage and edited content created during the internship belongs to BookMyOpponent. You may showcase your work in your personal portfolio with permission.
- Strong performers may be considered for a higher stipend or a long-term role.
- 5 Days working.
