About the Role
Kimaya McPherson Couture is seeking a Fashion Design & Couture Studio Intern to join our atelier in Margate, Florida. This is a hands-on opportunity for a fashion student, recent graduate, or emerging designer looking for real-world experience in a couture studio specializing in custom bridal, eveningwear, pageant, and special-occasion garments. You will observe and assist with garments throughout the design and production process, from fabric preparation and construction to fittings, alterations, and final finishing.

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome fashion design, costume design, apparel construction, and related students or recent graduates who are serious about developing their technical skills. Ideal candidates are:
- Dependable and professional
- Detail-oriented
- Comfortable working with their hands
- Interested in couture, bridal, or eveningwear
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Able to work independently after instruction
Basic sewing knowledge is preferred.
Strong sewing or garment-construction skills are a plus.
Location: Margate, Florida
Commitment: Approximately 12–20 hours per week, based on availability.
Internship Type: Unpaid educational internship/apprenticeship. We are happy to work with colleges and universities when academic internship credit is available.
